First Day Out LLC was established in 2022 with a singular purpose: to ensure that someone's first day out is not the beginning of another struggle, but the start of a new and better chapter.
We provide safe, affordable housing for individuals working to rebuild their lives after hardship — bridging the gap between homelessness and community stability through structured shared housing and supportive resources.
Since our founding, we have served men transitioning from incarceration, battered women, veterans, and others seeking stability and a fresh start in Augusta, Georgia.
Growing up in a family impacted by the justice system and spending time in a youth detention center at age 12, I understand firsthand how easily someone can be written off — and how powerful a second chance can be.
